Chess career
He won the three games required to obtain the title of international master in tournaments: Tradewise Gibraltar (2014) - the first game, the Romanian Chess Championship (May, 2014) - the second game (obtaining a score of 7.5 / 11) and 29th Schwarzach Open (August, 2014) - the third. As he already had 2400 Elo points (required to obtain the title of international master) since July, 2014, the title of Grand Master came into force in the ninth round of the tournament (which took place on August 23, 2014), when it succeeded to draw him front of the great master Vitaly Kunin.
He obtained the necessary points for the title of Grand Master at the tournaments: Zalakaros Open 2015 - first, Graz Open, in February, 2016 - second - and Zalakaros Open, June 4, 2016 - the third and, implicitly, the title of Grand Master.
In 2015 he was named the winner of the Romgaz Kings Tournament in the individual, managing to defeat the experienced German player Daniel Friedman.
In September 2016, at the International Chess Olympics in Baku, Azerbaijan, Bogdan-Daniel Deac played for the Romanian team at the third table, finishing the tournament with a very good result: 7/10 points (+ 5-1 = 4). The only defeat suffered - with the blacks - from the great Georgian master Levan Pantsulaia.
