Dicker entered the literary scene in 2010 after winning the Prix des écrivains genevois for an unpublished manuscript. This recognition led to the publication of his first novel, Les derniers jours de nos pères, that same year under the direction of Parisian editor Bernard de Fallois. His second novel, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, followed in 2012. The work achieved significant critical success, securing the Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française, the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens, and the Prix littéraire de la vocation in 2012.
Professional Evolution and Independent Publishing
Following the release of Le Livre des Baltimore in 2015 and La disparition de Stephanie Mailer in 2018, Dicker expanded his professional trajectory. In March 2021, he utilized social media to announce his departure from the Fallois publishing house, effective 1 January 2022, to establish his own independent publishing entity. His subsequent bibliography includes The Enigma of Room 622, published in 2020, The Alaska Sanders Affair in 2022, and A Wild Animal, released in 2024.
