A resident of Zermatt since 2009, she began skiing at age four. Representing Thailand as Vanessa Vanakorn, she qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics after competing in giant slalom events in Krvavec, Slovenia. Following the event, the International Ski Federation investigated the qualifying races, briefly issuing a ban that was later nullified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The Federation subsequently issued a formal apology, citing a lack of evidence regarding any manipulation or wrongdoing on her part.
