Early Career and Breakthrough
Born Tom Eeckhout on 25 November 1989 in Eeklo, Belgium, the musician began playing guitar during childhood. He started writing songs in his early teens and joined a band called The Dice at age 15. In 2008, he competed in the Flemish version of The X Factor. Under the mentorship of vocal coach Maurice Engelen, he reached the runner-up position, finishing behind Dirk De Smet.

Following his television success, he signed with the label SonicAngel and adopted the stage name Tom Dice. His debut studio album, Teardrops, was released in April 2010 and reached number one in Belgium. He later issued Heart for Sale in 2012, which peaked at number 11, followed by his third studio record, I've Come a Long Way, in 2016. Throughout this period, he released multiple singles, including "Lucy," "A Thousand Years," "Utopia," "Drive Me to Paris," and "Right Between the Eyes."
Collaboration and Recent Projects
Beyond his solo work, Dice has engaged in several notable collaborations. In 2011, he served as the opening act for Taylor Swift during her concert dates in Belgium and the Netherlands. He also provided guest vocals on Elisa Tovati’s single "Il nous faut." In 2019, he formed the pop duo The Starlings alongside his wife, Kato Callebaut. This project has since produced various singles and the 2022 album Seaside.
