Thomas Matthew DeLonge, born December 13, 1975, in Poway, California, gained prominence as a co-founder, guitarist, and vocalist of the rock trio Blink-182. Foundations of Blink-182
DeLonge attended Poway High School and Rancho Bernardo High School before dedicating his time to music. In 1992, he co-founded Blink-182 alongside bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Scott Raynor. The trio recorded their debut, Cheshire Cat, in 1995 through Cargo Music. With the addition of drummer Travis Barker in 1998, the band achieved significant commercial milestones, notably with the 1999 release Enema of the State, which sold over 15 million copies globally.

Beyond the core catalog of Blink-182, which includes the No. 1 album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and the untitled 2003 release, DeLonge pursued side projects. He collaborated with Barker on the 2002 post-hardcore project Box Car Racer. Following his departure from Blink-182 in 2005, he established the band Angels & Airwaves, functioning as the primary vocalist and guitarist. He has maintained an intermittent relationship with Blink-182, rejoining in 2009 and again in 2022.
Entrepreneurial and Creative Ventures
DeLonge's activities extend to film and business management. He founded the lifestyle brand Macbeth Footwear and the technology platform Modlife. In the film industry, he served as a producer and composer for the 2011 science fiction feature Love. He is also the author of the 2013 children’s book The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve. Additionally, he established the organization To The Stars, focusing on the investigation of fringe science.
