Karim Ansarifard

Iranian footballer

During the 2011-12 Iranian Pro League season, Karim Ansarifard established himself as a dominant offensive force by scoring 21 goals and providing 5 assists for Saipa. This performance solidified his reputation in Asia, with FIFA ranking him as the second-best goalscorer on the continent and the 48th globally that year.

Early Career and Domestic Success

Born in Ardabil in 1990, Ansarifard entered the Saipa youth academy under the guidance of Ali Daei. He transitioned to the first team in 2007, quickly becoming a regular starter. His tenure at Saipa concluded in 2012, followed by a move to Persepolis where he earned the number 9 shirt. Despite recording a hat-trick in the Hazfi Cup, internal disagreements with management led to his transfer to Tractor in 2013. At Tractor, he secured the Hazfi Cup title and earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player award while leading the league in scoring for the second time in his professional career.
