The career of singer-songwriter Hadise Açıkgöz began in 2003 on the Belgian singing competition Idool, though her wider recognition arrived with the 2005 release of her debut album, Sweat. Early Development and Breakthrough

Born in the Belgian town of Mol on 21 October 1985 to parents of Lezgin and Kumyk descent, Hadise pursued music following a brief appearance on the Idool television series. Her initial contract with 2 Brain records led to the 2004 single Sweat. The subsequent album earned her recognition, including a TMF Award in Belgium and a Golden Butterfly Award in Turkey, establishing her as a cross-cultural performer.

By 2008, Hadise released her self-titled album, which marked a significant step in her professional trajectory. Recorded across Belgium, France, Turkey, and Italy, the project included the song 'Deli Oğlan', a Turkish translation by Sezen Aksu that performed well on regional charts. During this period, she secured collaborations and sought production influence in the United States, aiming to integrate urban musical styles into her repertoire.

Eurovision and Television Work

Representing Turkey at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, Hadise performed the track 'Düm Tek Tek'. The entry secured fourth place with 177 points and reached the number-one spot on the Belgian singles chart. Beyond her music, she transitioned into broadcasting, serving as a judge on the Turkish edition of The Voice, O Ses Türkiye, and presenting the Belgian version of The X Factor.
