Chaovarat Chanweerakul (born 1936) is the Acting Prime Minister of Thailand from 1 to 16 December 2008. He was born in Phra Nakhon District on 7 June 1936.
Chaovarat Chanweerakul served as Minister of Social Development and Human Security (in 2008), Minister of Public Health (in 2008) and Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand (in 2008). He worked in government and building contractor.
Chaovarat Chanweerakul was awarded Grand Cordon of the Order of the White Elephant (2004), Grand Cordon of the Order of the Crown of Thailand (1997), Boy Scout Citation Medal of Vajira (2009), Grand Cross of the Order of the Crown (1990) and Commander of the Order of the British Empire (2015). He was educated at Thammasat University (Bachelor of Economics), Assumption College and National Defence College of Thailand.
Chaovarat Chanweerakul married Tassanee Charnvirakul. He had three recorded children, Anutin Charnvirakul, Masthawin Charnvirakul and Anilrat Nitisaroj. He is recorded as following Theravāda.
