Ahti Karjalainen (1923–1990) was a Finnish politician and Prime Minister. Karjalainen was born in Hirvensalmi on 10 February 1923. He died in Helsinki on 7 September 1990, at the age of 67.
Karjalainen held office as Prime Minister of Finland (1962–1963), member of the Parliament of Finland, Prime Minister of Finland (1970–1971) and Governor of the Bank of Finland (1982–1983).
Karjalainen received Order of Friendship of Peoples, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George (1969), Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Olav (1961), Grand Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland and Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland. He studied at University of Helsinki (doctorate).
Karjalainen married Päivi Karjalainen. He had one recorded child, Kukka-Maaria Karjalainen. The recorded cause of death is pancreatic cancer.
