Early Competitive Development
Born in 1982 in Lindenfels, Glock entered motorsport in 1998. By 2000, he claimed the BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup, following this with the Formula BMW ADAC Championship victory in 2001. After finishing third in the 2002 German Formula Three Championship, he moved to the Formula Three Euroseries in 2003. There, he achieved three race wins and three additional podiums, securing fifth in the overall standings.

Glock’s 2004 debut with Jordan was followed by a brief period in the United States, where he raced in the Champ Car World Series for Rocketsports in 2005. He earned the Rookie of the Year award, highlighted by a second-place finish in Montreal. Returning to Europe, he joined the GP2 Series in 2006, transitioning from BCN Competicion to iSport and finishing fourth. In 2007, he won the GP2 Series title with iSport, earning five total race victories that season.
The Toyota Era and 2008 Finales
Following a contract dispute, Glock joined Toyota in 2008. He finished tenth in the Drivers' Championship that year. The season ended at the Brazilian Grand Prix, where rain forced a tactical decision to keep dry-weather tyres on his car. As he struggled for grip on the final lap, he was overtaken by Lewis Hamilton, which allowed Hamilton to secure the championship. The intensity of the moment drew significant attention from fans and media alike. He remained with Toyota through 2009, recording podium finishes in Malaysia before moving to Virgin and Marussia.
Transition to Touring Cars
After departing Formula One, Glock pivoted to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters as a factory driver for BMW. Between 2013 and 2021, he accumulated five race wins in the series. Following his tenure with BMW, he maintained his professional involvement in motorsport by returning to the DTM in 2025 as a competitor for McLaren.
