Tayanna

Tetiana Mykhailivna Reshetniak, professionally known as Tayanna, began her formal musical development at age eight in her hometown of Chernivtsi. Since entering the Ukrainian entertainment industry, she has worked as an actor, composer, and television presenter, while pursuing a career as a pop singer across multiple solo projects and ensemble performances.

Early Musical Development

Born on 29 September 1984, Reshetniak is one of four children born to parents Mikhail and Natalia. Her siblings include two twin brothers who work as confectioners, one of whom is a singer, and her brother Misha Marvin. After briefly attending an accordion class as a child, she pursued vocal training through both ensemble and individual instruction. Her public performances began early, including a 2001 appearance in Lviv before Pope John Paul II and participation in the Black Sea Games in Skadovsk.

Group Membership and Solo Transition

In 2008, she joined the Ukrainian girl group Hot Chocolate. Her tenure with the collective lasted until 2011, concluding after a professional and personal dispute with the group's producer, Dmytro Klimashenko. Following her departure, she transitioned into a solo career. In 2013, she gave birth to a son, Daniel.

Television and National Competition

Reshetniak gained significant visibility through the Ukrainian version of The Voice, Holos Krainy. Although she failed to advance during the 2014 auditions, she returned in 2015, joined Potap’s team, and reached the superfinal, where she finished in second place. She later competed in the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Vidbir, in 2017 and 2018 with the songs "I Love You" and "Lelia," respectively, finishing second in both instances. In 2021, she served as the spokesperson for the Ukrainian jury during the Eurovision Song Contest.

Discography and Awards

Her studio albums include "9 pyesen iz zhyzni," released in 2016, and "Trymai mene," released in 2017 in collaboration with producer Alan Badoev. Throughout 2017 and 2018, she received several honors, including the Breakthrough of the Year award at the M1 Music Awards, and both Singer of the Year and Clip of the Year at the Golden Firebird Awards.
