Following early stage performances and appearances in the crime drama series Lewis, Egerton secured his breakout role in the action film Kingsman: The Secret Service, released widely in 2015. He returned to the character for the 2017 sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle. During this period, he also featured in biographical projects such as Testament of Youth, portraying Edward Brittain, and the sports drama Eddie the Eagle, where he played the title character.
Musical Portrayals and Accolades
In 2019, Egerton starred as Elton John in the musical biopic Rocketman. He performed the vocals live and learned piano for the production, which resulted in a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
