In June 2011, El Shaarawy moved to AC Milan for a €20 million fee. After an initial period of limited appearances, he secured a regular position, culminating in a productive 2012–13 season. He set a record as the youngest goalscorer for Milan in the UEFA Champions League at age 19. By the halfway point of that season, he led Serie A in scoring with fourteen goals.
Injury Challenges and International Play
The seasons between 2013 and 2015 were hindered by recurring physical injuries, which restricted his time on the field. During this interval, he spent time on loan at Monaco before joining Roma in January 2016. Internationally, he progressed through Italy's youth levels before his senior team debut in August 2012 against England.
