Born in 1924 in Barcelona, Carrasco graduated from IESE Business School before establishing a career that reached into various industrial sectors. In 1966, Carrasco participated in the overhaul of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, aiming to modernize their functions. Throughout these years, he maintained membership in the Unió Democrática de Catalunya. His administrative reach also spanned non-profit and academic support, including service as the secretary of the Foundation Institut Guttmann and membership on the Advisory Board of the Foundation of the UPC.
Tenure at FC Barcelona
Carrasco entered the hierarchy of FC Barcelona in 1969, serving as manager under Agustí Montal i Costa until 1977. On 18 December 1977, he assumed the role of interim president. His leadership coincided with a pivotal period for the club as it moved toward its first democratic election following the end of the Franco regime. During his presidency, which concluded on 1 July 1978 upon the election of Josep Lluís Núñez, the club secured the 1977-78 Copa del Rey. Later in his life, he served as president of the Foundation Enciclopèdia Catalana between 2002 and 2006.
