Under his direction, the company solidified its market position as a leading manufacturer of computer mice and personal interface technology. By the time he departed in 1998, annual sales for the business had exceeded $400 million.
Ventures and Institutional Roles
Beyond his work with Logitech, Zappacosta transitioned into various leadership and advisory roles. He served as CEO of Sierra Sciences and chairman of Digital Persona, Inc., a firm specializing in biometric identification hardware and software. His professional activity extends to venture capital as a partner at Noventi and chairman of Faro Ventures. Furthermore, he maintains memberships on the boards of trustees for the Bruno Leoni Institute and the Reason Foundation.
Public Honors and Recognition
Zappacosta has received recognition for his contributions to the business sector in Italy and internationally. He was awarded the Order of Minerva in 2005. Later, on 22 May 2015, President Sergio Mattarella appointed him Cavaliere del Lavoro.
