Formative Musical Training
Born in Seoul in 1992, Park developed an early interest in percussion after watching the film School of Rock. His musical aspirations shifted toward singing following his exposure to the work of Yoo Young-jin. During his middle school years, he listened to Western rock bands including Green Day, Nirvana, Muse, and X Japan, while citing Eminem and Jason Mraz as major personal influences. Following a second-place finish at the 2008 Smart Model Contest, he secured a trainee position at SM Entertainment, where he refined his focus toward rapping.

As a member of Exo and its sub-unit Exo-K, Park participated in the group's official 2012 debut with the extended play Mama. His role within the collective expanded to include songwriting and production; he contributed to tracks such as 'Promise' and 'Lightsaber'. In 2019, he and fellow member Sehun debuted as the sub-unit Exo-SC with the EP What a Life. His collaborative work also includes tracks with artists like Punch, Junggigo, and the American group Far East Movement.
Acting and Solo Ventures
Park transitioned to screen acting with a supporting role in the 2015 film Salut d'Amour. He subsequently appeared in various projects including the film So I Married an Anti-fan, the web-drama Exo Next Door, and television series such as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and Memories of the Alhambra. After completing his mandatory military service between 2021 and 2022, he resumed his career with the release of the digital single 'Good Enough'. In August 2024, he released his debut solo extended play, Black Out, followed by the commencement of his City-scape concert tour.
