Early Development and Egyptian Beginnings
Born on 7 February 1999 to Egyptian-Canadian parents, Omar Khaled Mohamed Abdelsalam Marmoush spent his childhood in the Maadi district of Cairo. He attended the American International School in Egypt and began his formal football training at age six within the Wadi Degla youth academy. His professional debut occurred on 8 July 2016, where he appeared as a substitute during a 3–2 victory over Al Ittihad Alexandria Club. He recorded sixteen league appearances and two goals for the club before his transfer to VfL Wolfsburg II in 2017.

Marmoush made his debut for the senior Wolfsburg team in a 4–1 win against Bayer Leverkusen on 26 May 2020. His development included a loan to FC St. Pauli in 2021, where he scored seven goals in 21 matches, followed by a loan to VfB Stuttgart. During his time at Stuttgart, he earned Bundesliga Rookie of the Month honors in September 2021 and March 2022. By the 2024–25 season, he established himself as a prolific scorer, netting 15 goals in the first half of the season and breaking the club's Hinrunde scoring record previously held by Theofanis Gekas.

In January 2025, Marmoush moved to Manchester City on a four-and-a-half-year contract for a reported £59 million. His impact was immediate, featuring a first career hat-trick against Newcastle United in February.
