Oleksandr Turchynov (born 1964) is an Ukrainian politician, screenwriter, and Doctor of Economic Sciences. He was born in Dnipro on 31 March 1964.
Oleksandr Turchynov served as President of Ukraine (in 2014), People's Deputy of Ukraine (1998–2002), People's Deputy of Ukraine (2002–2005) and People's Deputy of Ukraine (2006–2007). He was attached to ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
Oleksandr Turchynov was awarded Registered firearms, Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th class and medal of 25 years of Ukrainian independence. He appeared at Euromaidan and Russian annexation of Crimea. He was elected to 8th Verkhovna Rada, 7th Verkhovna Rada and 6th Verkhovna Rada. He studied at National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Turchynov married Hanna Turčynova. He is recorded as following Charismatic Movement.
Euromaidan was held in Ukraine in 2010.
