Nguyen Van Thuan (1928–2002) was a Vietnamese Roman Catholic cardinal, archbishop and venerable. He was born in Huế on 17 April 1928. He died in Rome on 16 September 2002, at the age of 74.
Nguyen Van Thuan served as cardinal (from 2001), Catholic archbishop (from 1975), diocesan bishop (from 1967) and titular archbishop (from 1975).
Nguyen Van Thuan was the son of Nguyễn Văn Ấm and Ngô Đình Thị Hiệp. He is recorded as following the Catholic Church. The recorded cause of death is cancer.
