The 2012 European Women's Handball Championship marked a significant milestone for Marina Rajčić, as she contributed to the Montenegrin team securing their first international title. Born in Podgorica in 1993, this athlete has maintained a long-standing presence in professional handball, establishing herself as a goalkeeper for both domestic clubs and the Montenegrin national team.

Professional Club Career

Rajčić has built a substantial resume playing for various organizations, including a tenure with ŽRK Budućnost. Her club level success includes extensive victories in the Montenegrin Championship and the Montenegrin Cup, spanning the years 2010 through 2021. Beyond her home country, she achieved multiple titles in the France Championship in 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as the 2017 French Cup. Additionally, she holds victories in the Women's Regional Handball League and the Women's EHF Cup Winners' Cup.

International and Olympic Competition

Her international activity extends to several major events on the global stage. She represented Montenegro in the women's handball tournaments at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics. Before reaching the senior level, she earned a bronze medal at the 2010 Junior World Championship. During that same event, officials recognized her performance by naming her the All-Star Goalkeeper.

Recognition and Personal Life

The Montenegrin Olympic Committee selected her as the young sportswoman of the year in 2012 following her performance at the European Championship. Throughout her professional trajectory, she has been known by her maiden name, Vukčević, and is married to Vladimir Rajčić. Currently, she is associated with SCM Craiova.
