Manuel Prado Ugarteche (1889–1967) was the 41st & 46th President of Peru. Prado was born in Lima on 21 April 1889. He died in Paris on 15 August 1967, at the age of 78.
Prado held office as President of Peru (1939–1945), President of Peru (1956–1962), Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Peru (in 1919) and President of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (1934–1939).
Prado received Collar of the Order of Isabella the Catholic (1940), Grand Cross Special Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (1957) and Knight Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He studied at National University of San Marcos, National University of Engineering and Colegio de la Inmaculada.
Prado was the son of Mariano Ignacio Prado. He married Enriqueta Garland Higginson and Clorinda Málaga de Prado.
