Early Development and Training
Born in the Greenwood Park area of North Durban, McClure moved frequently between South Africa and Canada starting at age four. She graduated from West Vancouver Secondary School in 1998. Her initial stage experience began at 17 when she joined a production of Athol Fugard’s play Valley Song.

McClure made her television debut in the 1999 film In a Class of His Own alongside Lou Diamond Phillips. By 2000, she secured roles in the Fox Family series Higher Ground and the NBC series Just Deal. During this same period, she appeared as a recurring character on the Canadian series Da Vinci’s Inquest. In 2002, she appeared in the Showtime series Jeremiah and the television adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie, while guest starring in two episodes of Dark Angel.
Genre Television and Film
Following her tenure on Battlestar Galactica, McClure participated in several genre projects. She appeared in the 2009 adaptation of Children of the Corn and the film Cole. She maintained a presence in television through roles in Persons Unknown, Hemlock Grove, and Ghost Wars. Her film work includes the 2018 lead in Sew the Winter to My Skin and the feature film Broken Kingdom. In 2016, she portrayed Viola Desmond in a Historica Canada Heritage Minute regarding the history of civil rights in Nova Scotia.
Advocacy and Personal Life
As of 2013, McClure resided in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has engaged in humanitarian work through the non-profit organization CARE Canada, focusing on global poverty reduction. She is married to musician Ian Cylenz Lee, following a proposal during a trip to South Africa in December 2012.
