Jehan Sadat (1933–2021) was a human rights activist and former First Lady of Egypt. Sadat was born in Cairo on 29 July 1933. She died in Egypt on 9 July 2021, at the age of 88.
Sadat held office as First Lady of Egypt (1970–1981). She was attached to University of South Carolina, American University and Radford University.
Sadat received Theodor Haecker Price (1997), Pearl S. Buck Award (2001), honorary doctor of the Hofstra University, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic (1977). She was educated at Cairo University (Doctor of Philosophy).
Sadat married Anwar Sadat. She had four recorded children, Jamal Sadat, Jehan Anwar Sadat, Lubna Sadat and Nukha Sadat. She is recorded as following Islam.
