Born in Hamburg in 1992, Jeffrey Schlupp built a career spanning over 350 combined Premier League and EFL appearances. A versatile athlete capable of playing in defense, midfield, and forward positions, he became a central figure for Leicester City before transferring to Crystal Palace in 2017 for a reported fee of £12 million.
Early Career and Brentford Loan
Schlupp emerged from the Leicester City youth academy, receiving his first squad number, 31, for the 2010–11 season. Seeking senior experience, he joined Brentford on loan in March 2011. During this spell, he made his professional debut against Huddersfield Town and scored two goals in a 2–1 win against Carlisle United. He also appeared in the 2011 Football League Trophy Final.

Upon returning to Leicester, Schlupp established himself in the first team. He scored a hat-trick against Rotherham United in the League Cup in August 2011 and netted his first league goal against Derby County later that year. Over the subsequent seasons, he transitioned between left-back and attacking roles. By the 2014–15 season, he was a regular Premier League contributor, winning both the club's Young Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards.
Move to Crystal Palace
In January 2017, Schlupp joined Crystal Palace. His tenure at the club was marked by several high-profile goals, including a decisive strike against Manchester City in December 2018. He remained a persistent presence in the side, scoring equalizers against Tottenham Hotspur in both 2020 and 2021, and reaching the milestone of 200 Premier League appearances for the club.
International Representation
Although born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, Schlupp chose to represent the Ghana national team. Between 2011 and 2021, he earned 20 caps for the country. His international career included his inclusion in the squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
