Her debut as a princess-inspired character earned her the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. She followed this with a role in the 2010 science fiction comedy Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, where she portrayed an extraterrestrial visitor. Although early critical reception to her performances was mixed, her career gained significant commercial momentum with the psychological thriller Murder 2 in 2011.
