Born in 1941 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Eliane Ducos adopted the professional name Jacqueline Boyer. She is the daughter of performers Jacques Pills and Lucienne Boyer. As a French citizen, she pursued dual professional paths as a singer and an actor, working within the cultural frameworks and recording industries established in France.

Eurovision Victory and Chart Success

The 1960 Eurovision Song Contest victory remains a defining moment in Boyer's career. Her entry, "Tom Pillibi," featured lyrics by Pierre Cour. At 18 years and 341 days old, she became the first teenager to win the competition and held the title of the youngest winner until 1964. The song reached number 33 on the UK Singles Chart in May 1960. Since the passing of Lys Assia in 2018, Boyer holds the distinction of being the longest-surviving winning singer of the contest.
