Since 2004, Hofmann has occupied dual roles as the medical director of the Berufsgenossenschaftliche Kliniken Bergmannstrost Halle in Saxony-Anhalt and as the Director of the Hospital for Trauma, Hand, and Reconstructive Surgery at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena in Thuringia.
