Elmaleh launched his professional stand-up career in 1997 with the autobiographical show Décalages at the Palais des glaces. He later achieved significant commercial success with La Vie Normale, his first performance at the Olympia. His subsequent show, L'autre c'est moi, utilized improvisation techniques and played at venues including the Beacon Theatre on Broadway. In 2007, viewers of the French television channel TF1 voted him the funniest man of the year.
Film and Television
His cinematic work includes roles in films such as Salut cousin!, La Vérité si je mens! 2, and Priceless alongside Audrey Tautou. He starred as François Pignon in The Valet and provided the French voice for the lead in Bee Movie. In 2009, he directed, wrote, and starred in the film Coco. His English-language television presence includes the 2019 Netflix series Huge in France and an appearance on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
