Fikret Orman

Securing 4,025 out of 4,545 votes during the March 25, 2012, extraordinary congress, Fikret Orman assumed the role of the 33rd president of Beşiktaş J.K. His tenure spanned seven and a half years, marking a period of intense activity within Turkish sports management and club operations following the resignation of his predecessor, Yıldırım Demirören.

Academic Background

Born in Istanbul in 1967, Orman completed his secondary education at Işık Lisesi. He pursued higher education in engineering, attending Yıldız Technical University. He later continued his studies abroad, earning a degree from the University of Florida in the United States. His professional foundation is rooted in civil engineering.

Orman's leadership of Beşiktaş J.K. began in March 2012 and concluded with his resignation on September 24, 2019. Throughout his service, he successfully sought re-election at the ordinary congresses held in 2013 and May 2016. His presidency oversaw significant financial and personnel shifts within the organization.

Financial and Operational Outcomes

During his tenure, the club recorded 77 total player transfers. Notable arrivals included Mario Gómez, Pepe, Demba Ba, Anderson Talisca, Jose Sosa, Gary Medel, Alvaro Negredo, and Domagoj Vida. Simultaneously, the club's commercial debts increased from an initial figure of TRY580 million to a total of TRY2.6 billion by the time he stepped down.
