Domestic Career in Ghana and South Africa
Dauda began his tenure at Ashanti Gold S.C. in 2006, based in his hometown of Obuasi. His performance earned him a spot on the Ghana Premier League All Star Team in 2007 and a nomination for Goalkeeper of the Year in 2008. In 2013, he transferred to the South African club Orlando Pirates. Serving as a backup to Senzo Meyiwa, he recorded three appearances for the team. He later joined Chippa United, appearing twice before exiting the club due to payment issues. By October 2014, he returned to Ashanti Gold, later moving to Enyimba International F.C. in December 2016.

The national team recruited Dauda for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations. He subsequently served as the first-choice goalkeeper during the 2013 edition of the tournament. In 2014, coach Akwasi Appiah selected Dauda for the preliminary squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup. On 1 June 2014, he was confirmed as one of the 23 players to represent Ghana in Brazil.
Personal Incident
In September 2024, Dauda was traveling with Otto Addo and John Paintsil when their vehicle encountered a near head-on collision with a pick-up truck. The incident occurred after the truck veered into their lane, forcing evasive maneuvers that resulted in damage to their car. The Ghana Football Association verified that all three individuals remained in stable condition following the event.
