By October 2007, Missoni faced internal resistance regarding the management and focus of the World Scout Bureau. Several national organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Svenska Scoutrådet, issued complaints and withheld funding to protest his administration. On November 12, 2007, the World Scout Committee removed Missoni from his position during a meeting in Cairo. He concluded his representative duties on November 30, 2007, subsequently publishing a chronology of the events on his personal website.
Academic Career
Missoni maintains a career in education as a professor at the Bocconi University Management School in Milan. His academic research and teaching focus on health development cooperation management and global health strategies. He continues his work in Italy, contributing to the field of health policy through his research and university teaching roles.
