In 2025, she returned for the FIVB World Championship, where Turkey placed second after a loss to Italy. Her defensive and offensive contributions have been recognized frequently; she was named the tournament's best middle blocker following that 2025 performance. She has also secured multiple medals at the FIVB Nations League and the Mediterranean Games.
Recognition and Public Life
Outside of competition, Erdem holds a maritime badge and is a certified ship captain. In March 2022, she became Chairman of the Athlete Commission for the Turkish National Olympic Committee. In March 2024, Fenerbahçe unveiled a statue in her likeness, titled The Idol of Young Girls and All Successful Women, located near Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium. That same month, she received a nomination for the International Women of Courage award in the United States.
