Dani Ceballos

Dani Ceballos entered the Real Betis youth system in 2011, eventually securing a professional contract by February 2014. Since then, the Spanish midfielder has navigated a professional career spanning La Liga and the Premier League, accumulating sixteen trophies during a nine-year tenure at Real Madrid and contributing to international campaigns for Spain across multiple age levels.

Early Development and Real Betis

Born in Utrera, Andalusia, in 1996, Ceballos began his youth training with Sevilla in 2004. A chronic bronchitis diagnosis led to his release in 2009, prompting a return to his hometown club, Utrera. He later joined Real Betis, where he debuted for the main squad in April 2014 against Real Sociedad. He contributed to the club's 2014–15 Segunda División title run, scoring five goals in 33 matches to help secure promotion to the top flight.

Real Madrid and Arsenal Loan Spells

In July 2017, Ceballos moved to Real Madrid on a six-year deal for a reported €18 million fee. His debut occurred in the 2017 Supercopa de España against Barcelona. Between 2019 and 2021, he played for Arsenal on two season-long loans, helping the team win the 2020 FA Cup. Following his return to Madrid, he overcame a severe ankle injury sustained during the 2020 Summer Olympics to play a role in the 2021–22 Champions League victory.

International Participation

Ceballos earned recognition with Spain's youth squads, winning the 2015 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He was named player of the tournament at the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. His senior international debut occurred in September 2018 during a UEFA Nations League match against Croatia. He later participated in the 2020 Summer Olympics, where Spain secured a silver medal.

Return to Real Betis

Following nine seasons at Real Madrid, during which he secured three Champions League titles and two La Liga championships, Ceballos departed by mutual agreement in June 2026. On 1 September 2026, he re-signed with Real Betis on a three-year contract set to conclude on 30 June 2029. This move marked his return to the club where he completed his early development as a professional athlete.
