Encouraged by his mother to move away from motorcycle dangers, he enrolled at the Winfield Racing School in France in 1983. His car racing career progressed through British Formula Ford and Formula Three, eventually reaching the International F3000 championship by 1988 with GA Motorsport.
Formula One Dominance
Appointed as a test driver for the Williams team in 1992, Hill earned a promotion to the primary race seat the following year.
