Andy Ram became the first Israeli tennis player to secure a senior Grand Slam title by winning the 2006 Wimbledon mixed doubles championship with partner Vera Zvonareva. A professional doubles specialist, he reached a career-high world ranking of No. 5 in July 2008 and won 20 of the 36 doubles finals he contested throughout his career.
Early Development
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1980 to an Israeli father and Uruguayan mother, Ram relocated to Jerusalem at the age of five. He began training at the Jerusalem tennis center, eventually refining his skills at the Wingate Institute from the age of 15. He turned professional in 1996 and established a partnership with Jonathan Erlich, forming a team colloquially known in Israel as AndiYoni.

After recovering from knee and back surgeries in 2002, Ram surged in 2003 by reaching the Wimbledon semifinals with Erlich as unseeded qualifiers. This performance marked the first time an Israeli duo advanced that far in a Grand Slam event. He subsequently won the 2007 French Open mixed doubles title with Nathalie Dechy and claimed the 2008 Australian Open men's doubles title with Erlich, defeating Arnaud Clément and Michaël Llodra.
Transition to Technology
Ram concluded his professional tennis career following his final Davis Cup tie in September 2014, ending a tenure that included a 20–7 Davis Cup doubles record. In April 2015, he shifted his professional focus to the technology sector as the CEO of Pulse Play, an enterprise developing wearable hardware and mobile software applications designed for amateur tennis players.
