Early Career and Al-Ahli Tenure
After his initial period at Al-Hilal, where he made limited appearances, Al-Mayouf joined Al-Ahli on 31 October 2007. His progression at the club included a league debut on 13 January 2010 against Al-Qadsiah. Throughout his tenure, he played in significant fixtures, including the 2012 AFC Champions League Final against Ulsan Hyundai and various King Cup finals. He played every league match during the 2016–17 season, contributing to the club's league title victory. His performance included a King Cup win against Al-Ahli in 2017. He remained a consistent presence, renewing his contract in 2018 and 2020. Notable contributions included a penalty save and a goal scored against Al-Raed in February 2020, followed by his role in the 2023 King Cup final, where he converted the decisive penalty in a shootout against Al Wehda.
Recent Movements and International Participation
In the latter stages of his career, Al-Mayouf moved to Al-Ittihad on 3 September 2023, signing a two-year deal. By 1 September 2024, he transferred to Al-Shabab. On the international stage, he was included in the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, appearing in the opening match against the hosts. He subsequently announced his retirement from international football on 11 December 2019, finishing his tenure with the national setup.
