Early Development and Porto Debut
Vitinha began his footballing path at Aves before moving through Pinheirinhos de Ringe and eventually joining Porto at age eleven. The 2021–22 season marked his breakthrough at Porto. Following a strong showing at the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, he established himself as a starter. He scored in a victory against Portimonense and earned man-of-the-match honors against Benfica in the Taça de Portugal. By the season's end, he had contributed to a domestic double, earning Primeira Liga Team of the Year and Best Young Player of the Year honors.
Paris Saint-Germain Tenure
In June 2022, Vitinha signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €41.5 million. His tenure began with a Trophée des Champions victory. Despite early periods of inconsistent form and interpersonal difficulties within the squad, he secured his place under manager Luis Enrique. His success in Paris culminated in four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupes de France, and historic back-to-back UEFA Champions League victories in 2025 and 2026.
