Serving as the 63rd Prime Minister of Romania between 2012 and 2015, Victor Ponta navigated a complex career shifting from legal practice to the top of the national government. Early Legal and Ministerial Career
Ponta graduated from the University of Bucharest's Law faculty in 1995 and later received a degree from the Carol I National Defence University in 2002. His early career included working as a prosecutor at the Sector 1 courthouse and the Supreme Court of Justice, where he focused on financial crimes. By 2004, he entered the Chamber of Deputies, maintaining a seat until 2020. During his tenure, he served as Minister-Delegate for Relations with Parliament in the Emil Boc cabinet.
