Academic Foundation
Berthé completed her baccalauréat at sixteen. She attended the École Normale Supérieure between 1988 and 1993. Her foundational degrees include a licentiate and master's in pure mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, obtained in 1989. Following this, she earned a Diplôme d'études approfondies from the University of Paris-Sud in 1991 and completed her agrégation in 1992. In 1999, she finished her habilitation at the University of the Mediterranean Aix-Marseille II, with a thesis focusing on the arithmetic and dynamic study of algorithmic sequences.

Her professional career is anchored at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), where she serves as a director of research at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale (IRIF).
