Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al-Ghannam secured a professional career as a right-back, rising through the ranks of Saudi Arabian football to establish himself as a consistent presence in the Saudi Pro League. Early Career and Al-Faisaly

The defender began his development at his hometown club, Al-Zulfi. His progression led to a move into the top tier of Saudi football when he joined Al-Faisaly on 27 August 2015. During his tenure at the club, he accumulated 24 appearances, establishing the defensive foundation necessary for advancement to larger clubs within the professional league structure.

Tenure at Al-Nassr

On 12 March 2018, Al-Ghannam signed a four-year contract with Al-Nassr via a free transfer. He made an immediate impact, contributing to the club's victory in the 2018–19 Pro League during his debut season. His role at the club continued to evolve, leading to multiple contract extensions, including an agreement signed on 7 October 2023 that secured his services until 2028. By the close of his initial primary period, he had recorded 109 appearances and 8 goals for the team.

International Representation

Al-Ghannam joined the Saudi Arabia national team in 2017. His international career involved selections for significant tournaments, including the 2019 AFC Asian Cup held in the United Arab Emirates and the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup. He was also named to the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His international participation totals 24 appearances, though he was notably excluded from the 2023 AFC Asian Cup squad under manager Roberto Mancini.

Honours and Achievements

The right-back has secured several domestic and regional titles during his time with Al-Nassr. These include two Saudi Pro League titles in 2018–19 and 2025–26, as well as the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. He also helped the team claim the Saudi Super Cup in 2019 and 2020, in addition to achieving a runners-up position in the same competition in 2024.
