In 2009, Sulli debuted as a member of the girl group f(x) with the single La Cha Ta. The group achieved significant commercial success, eventually becoming the first K-pop act to perform at SXSW. After years of promotional activities, Sulli took a hiatus in 2014 and officially withdrew from the ensemble in August 2015.

Throughout her career, Sulli appeared in numerous television series and films, including Vacation, Punch Lady, and BABO.
