The professional football career of Shayne Elian Jay Pattynama began in 2017 with an Eerste Divisie debut for Jong Utrecht against TOP Oss. Early Career in the Netherlands
Born on 11 August 1998 in Lelystad, Pattynama entered the Dutch football system. After his time with Jong Utrecht, where he recorded a goal against Go Ahead Eagles in 2019, he transitioned to SC Telstar. During his tenure at Telstar, he made his debut in October 2019 and registered a goal against Excelsior Rotterdam in early 2020.

Pattynama moved to Norway in 2021 to join Viking FK. Over two seasons, he contributed goals against Vålerenga and Molde. Following the conclusion of his contract in December 2023, he joined Belgian side K.A.S. Eupen in February 2024. This agreement ended by mutual consent in May 2025. Subsequently, he moved to Thailand to sign with Buriram United in July 2025, marking his entry into Thai League 1.
Representing Indonesia
Pattynama obtained Indonesian citizenship on 24 January 2023. His national team debut occurred on 19 June 2023 during a match against Argentina. Later that year, he scored his first international goal in a qualifier against Iraq. He was also part of the squad that advanced to the round of 16 in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, appearing in the knockout match against Australia. In January 2026, he joined the Indonesian Super League club Persija Jakarta.
