Sergio Agüero

Argentine association football player

Sergio Agüero is an Argentine association football player, born in Buenos Aires in 1988.

He plays mainly as a centre-forward. He has turned out for FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Manchester City F.C., Argentina men's national football team, Club Atlético Independiente and Argentina national under-17 football team. His honours include Premier League Golden Boot and Premier League Hall of Fame. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He also featured at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Sergio Agüero is widely regarded as one of the defining figures of association football in his era, and remains the benchmark against which later competitors are measured.
