Early Background and Education

Born in 1973 in London, Yazbeck attended the William Ellis School in Highgate and the Sylvia Young Theatre School. He later pursued higher education at Southampton Solent University, graduating with a First Class Honors degree. His academic ties to the institution remained strong, leading to his appointment as a Visiting Fellow in 2017 and the receipt of an honorary Doctor of Business degree in 2018.

Television and Media Career

Before transitioning into full-time business ventures, Yazbeck worked as an actor and film actor. Business Ventures and Technology

Yazbeck founded the technology services company Wavsys, which appeared on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private firms in 2011, reporting annual revenues exceeding $100 million and a staff of 500. He also co-founded Scopeworker, an enterprise resource planning platform. In 2018, the company secured a multi-billion-dollar agreement with Sprint Corporation, now T-Mobile US, to automate supplier services for a 5G network rollout.

Philanthropy and Public Service

Yazbeck holds multiple honorary titles, including being named a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear in 2008. His philanthropic portfolio includes contributions to the New World Symphony and the Pérez Art Museum Miami. In 2019, he donated £100,000 to Solent University for a digital innovation centre, and in 2025, he provided £50,000 to University College London to fund research into bacteriophage therapeutics.
