Robin Quaison began his professional football career in 2011 while on loan at Väsby United before establishing himself within the Swedish top tier. Born in Stockholm on 9 October 1993, he developed his skills as an attacking midfielder, forward, and left winger, representing his country internationally across youth and senior levels for over a decade.
Early Career and AIK
Quaison joined AIK in 1997, eventually making his first-team debut on 1 April 2012 in a scoreless match against Mjällby. His first goal followed on 20 May 2012 in a victory over IFK Norrköping. During his tenure with the club, he gained experience in the UEFA Europa League, debuting against Napoli in 2012. He also attracted international attention with a long-distance goal against Manchester United during a 2013 pre-season friendly.

In July 2014, the player moved to Palermo, where he remained until transferring to the Bundesliga club Mainz 05 in January 2017 on a four-and-a-half-year contract. In December 2019, he recorded his first professional hat-trick against Werder Bremen. By May 2021, he achieved the distinction of becoming the all-time leading Bundesliga goalscorer for Mainz, totaling thirty goals for the club.
International Competition and Honours
Quaison debuted for the Swedish national team on 23 January 2013 in the King's Cup. He was a key member of the 2015 squad that secured the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in the Czech Republic. Later, he contributed five goals during the qualification rounds for Euro 2020, eventually representing Sweden in the final tournament where the team reached the round of 16.
Recent Club Activity
Following a stint with Al Ettifaq starting in July 2021, he signed a two-year contract with Aris Thessaloniki in September 2024. In early 2026, he transitioned to the UAE First Division League to play for Gulf United. Throughout his career, he has maintained links to his roots in the Järva borough of Stockholm, notably launching the Quaison Foundation in 2021 to support local youth.
