Athletic Foundation and Development
Saladukha pursued athletics at the same club frequented by Sergey Bubka. Her early training focused on sprint hurdling before she committed to the triple jump. In 1998, she established a European age-group record of 13.32 meters. She later participated in the 1999 World Youth Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and secured a fifth-place finish at the 2002 World Junior Championships. Following a period hampered by injuries and a brief retirement, she attended the Donetsk Institute of Physical Culture and Sports to formalize her athletic education.

The year 2006 marked a turning point with a fourth-place finish at the European Athletics Championships. In 2007, she earned gold at the Summer Universiade with a jump of 14.79 meters. After a hiatus in 2008 to start a family with her husband, racing cyclist Denys Kostyuk, she returned to top form. She claimed gold at the European Championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Her career highlights include a 2011 World Championship victory in Daegu and a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She recorded her personal best long jump of 6.37 meters alongside her peak triple jump performance of 14.99 meters in Helsinki.
