Early Career and Education

Born in 1967 in Bloomington, Indiana, Cabot attended Bloomington High School South before graduating from Indiana University. She initially relocated to New York City with ambitions to work as an illustrator. Her career path shifted when she secured employment as an assistant manager for a freshman dormitory at New York University, eventually transitioning into a full-time writing career.

The Princess Diaries series stands as her most prominent work, debuting in October 2000. She currently resides in Key West, Florida.
