Megan Rapinoe is an American soccer player, born in Redding in 1985.

She plays mainly as a wing half or midfielder. She has turned out for magicJack, United States women's national soccer team, Seattle Sounders Women, Chicago Stars FC, Seattle Reign FC and Sydney FC. Her honours include Presidential Medal of Freedom, Ballon d'Or Féminin and Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. She also featured at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
