Securing a 2-0 victory against Darmstadt on 3 February 2024, Lukas Hradecky achieved his 80th clean sheet in 280 Bundesliga appearances. This milestone established him as the goalkeeper with the highest number of clean sheets among foreign-born players in the history of the German top division, marking a definitive point in a career spanning Denmark, Germany, and France.
Early Development and Danish Tenure
Born in Bratislava in 1989, Hradecky moved to the Finnish city of Turku at age one. He began his senior club career at Turun Palloseura before moving to Denmark in 2009 to join Esbjerg fB. During his tenure there, he secured the Danish 1st Division title and the 2013 Danish Cup. He later transitioned to Brøndby IF in June 2013, where he played for two seasons.
