Early Education and Career

He returned to Pavia that year to assume the chair of algebraic analysis, a post he maintained until his retirement in 1935, punctuated only by a brief period of instruction at the University of Milano during the 1924–1925 academic year.
Institutional Leadership
Beyond his research and teaching, Berzolari occupied high-level administrative roles. He served as the rector of the University of Pavia for two distinct terms: from 1909 to 1913 and again from 1920 to 1922. Furthermore, he acted as chairperson from 1925 to 1928, providing oversight and guidance to the faculty of sciences.
Professional Memberships
His influence in the Italian mathematical community was cemented through his involvement in several scholarly bodies. He held memberships in the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, the Italian Mathematical Union, the Royal Academy of Italy, the Academy of Sciences of Turin, and the Lombard Institute Academy of Science and Letters.
